We live in a fast-paced world, which overwhelming shows the chaos of life.
Perhaps, staying occupied 24/7 is the new cool of the town.
Long tiring hours with stringent commitments are a new rich.
In the name of rational thinking, carrying unnecessary thoughts has become a way of life.
What is the gross yield of it? In a nutshell, an unmanageable multitude of chaos life!
Let’s dive in a bit deeper.
Where Does The Chaos Begin?
It’s natural to get stimulated when living in a world of opportunities, glamour and hustle.
Sometimes, the stimulation is more than just a desire, and that’s where the chaos kicks in with its unfair deals to offer.
As soon as we start establishing the mind to equate the world’s hustle is where we sweep away, unknowingly.
It’s more like a child at the funfair, where everything is delightful yet inviting.
However, we do not let the child pursue every possible ride at the fair, no matter how pleasing it may look.
Similarly, these opportunities and the hustle-bustle around you, can paint your life with colors chaos, if not controlled.
You would see opportunities and offers flooding your way to tempt you.
However, you do not have to grasp each of them.
Rather, you need to find the middle ground between your desires and necessities.
You have to realise that every offer is not a necessity, and if it is not a necessity, then you should learn to say a NO.
Even if it’s great, exciting and high street, it can cause a choas life for you.
Ever heard, excess of anything is bad?
That’s what I live by and will recommend you as well.
In fact, I have ten antidotes to share that can bring calm to your chaos life.
10 Antidotes to Live By In The Chaos of Life
Gear up, as I am going to share a complete step by step guide to help you know how to be calm down even when the world around you is running at 1000 mph.
1. Slow Down and Breathe
The first antidote to the chaos of life is as simple as it sounds, taking a deep breath.
The world is very fast paced, why do you want to go faster?
So, slow down, take a deep breath and reflect where exactly you are going.
Does the new job you have landed on fulfill your life goals?
No?
Then stop putting your peace of mind on trial and move on, if it’s possible.
Just as hyperventilation has never helped anyone, getting your hands on all of the opportunities can’t help you either.
Instead, take out some time for yourself…..learn to meditate.
Contemplate the meaning of life, your goals and then your actions.
If you don’t find these three things in proportion, then know that you are painting your life with chaos.
So, slow down your pace and work in a methodological way to accomplish more in less time.
2. Practice Letting Go
Once you have found your life methodology, you will have time to reflect on your desires and your necessities.
This will help you have a check on all the internal conflicts that nourish chaos and disturbs your inner peace.
You’ll realise how you were suppressing your feelings only to have chaos form into your life.
Hence, it’s the time to give yourself some space to your thoughts, emotions and feelings.
So please ensure you practicing ‘let go.’
3. Invite Peace Into Your Inner Landscape
Once your mind has adapted to remaining quiet and relatively thoughtful, invite stillness and spaciousness into your inner landscape.
Imagine a state of mind where peace prevails.
This will require you to engage yourself in activities that bring calm and help detoxify the negativity around you.
Perhaps a road trip, or some quality time with your better half in a deserted island or doing your favorite hobby.
4. Self-Reflect and Compete With Yourself
You might have realised that I am stressing a bit more on self-reflection but seeing yourself through the eyes of others always fuels the chaos within you.
You’ll always be young in someone’s eyes and old in someone else’s eyes, talented to one friend and terrible to another.
The world is never going to agree on a single definition of what you are.
So you better judge yourself fairly with zero external interventions.
Bring yourself to a competition of who you were yesterday.
Weigh up your daily routine every night before going to bed.
Don’t forget to treat yourself if you’re doing better than before too.
5. Appreciate Your Energies
It is the human tendency to question our abilities when we see someone is in a better position.
However, when you take time to assess yourself, you’d realise that you weren’t less fortunate than anyone else.
You always had the potential that nobody will acknowledge.
They use all their energy to meet the deadlines set by others.
It’s not humanly possible to live up to the standards that the society has set for us sometimes.
So, appreciate your energies and tailor them right according to your ever changing situation.
For instance, change your motto to ‘to-be’ from the “to-do.’ From there, takes control of your daily routine.
Try saying no to others when you find their offer deteriorating your peace of mind.
6. Go From “Can do” to “Will be.”
The first thing that you should do to tailor your energies according to the situation is define your direction.
Life has many routes that it leaves on you to opt out away from.
So, choose wisely.
The ‘to do’ list of your life is always endless.
Do you remember when was the last time you checked everything from your to-do list?
Probably never, since it keeps on growing and growing.
You will die one day, leaving all of the pending tasks undone.
So, choose a path for yourself and follow that path while keeping the glamour at bay.
What you ‘care about’ is always going to be your priority.
So why not make your priorities your to-do list so that you get them done ASAP and achieve the happiness that you have always envisioned?
Hence, instead of frantically running about ‘trying to get done’, focus on ‘what you care about’.
This will ensure and achieve a sense of accomplishment.
7. Take Control of Your Day
You will also be able to take control of your day, in fact, every second, right from the moment you wake up in the morning.
The opportunities, the glamour, and the mystique that the chaos of life offers is always set to the default, however, you can make it customisable.
Research suggests that people are happier when following some purposeful goals than after achieving it.
It also explains that you are born to plan, learn, grow to your own tailor made suggestions.
Instead of allowing stress to paint your life with colors of chaos, try to become your own master.
Operate your days with a plan and have that plan reflect into what you value.
8. Learn To Say No
The planning will directly lead you to the understanding of what you need and what your desires are..
You’ll eventually learn that you can’t say yes to everyone as saying yes to it all is inviting the chaos of life.
Plus, one crucial thing to mention here is that you should say NO to toxic vibes.
At the end of the day, your goal is to bring peace, not hate.
9. Don’t Hate.
Often, we confuse competition, comparison, and jealousy so bad, that we unconsciously start to develop a generalised contempt behaviour.
This is also one of the reasons why you should compete ONLY with yourself.
Once you bid farewell to comparison, you’ll be able to frame your zones.
Staying in the zone is one of my favourite strategies to practice self-reflection and get inspired but never get to envious.
10. Learn Situational Analysis and Act Accordingly
Last but not least, this final principle is a gold standard.
Often chaos starts unnecessarily and builds momentum because people leap into action without consideration.
Soon they start screaming, without even knowing if they should panic or pay heed to their action.
Therefore, call for a halt to the chaos, and take 5 minutes of contemplation.
Look into yourself.
Examine where you got it wrong to avoid the mistake next time.
Summary
The multitude of world is too much to be handled all at once.
This only brings chaos and conflict in life. So, start self-analysis and know what your priorities are.
Prioritisation and living up to the contextual format of life is the mainstay to have these odds subdued.
This is where your journey begins.
Time to turn the chaos in your favor and not against yourself.
I wish you every success.
