Enjoy life, start to appreciate yourself and the world that you live in. you also need to learn to live in the present and stop holding on to the past or living in the future. Of course you will have many memories and will have to plan for the future but ensure that you start living in this moment and enjoy this life that you have now.

Take time to laugh
A lot of the time people take life too seriously. This takes away the joy and fun of living. According to statistics, kids laugh about 200 times per day while adults average only about 15 times. This means lots of miserable adults and plenty of happy children. Watch cartoons, play games, read jokes and even attend comedy events and have a hearty laugh.
Give of yourself totally without expectations
As an individual, you need to learn and be willing to give of yourself to others and expect nothing back in return. This is a great concept where you give freely for others and for yourself. Such an act of selfless giving has the capacity to uplift your soul and make you feel truly good about yourself. Give your time, money, love and everything else that you have. Then you will receive rewards ten times over from the Supreme Being.
Open up yourself to love
You need to open yourself up to love. Be ready to give love and receive love unconditionally. Love is probably the greatest thing in the entire world. You also need to start loving unconditionally, even people who make your life hard. Think about what kind of effect your unconditional love will have on that person. Love is very powerful and if you can love unconditionally friend and foe, family and stranger, you will be a lot happier than you are now.
Practice gratitude
If you learn how to appreciate what you have, you will be a lot happier. Gratitude even over little things can completely shift your over all outlook on life. You will be a lot happier and get along better with most people if you learn to show gratitude.
Surround yourself with positive things, people and scents
Positivity is known for uplifting our moods and feelings. If you are surrounded with positive people and positive things, you will be happier and your general well being will be positively affected. Even positive sounds and scents can improve your mood and uplift your soul.
